EBA was tasked with bringing new life to a dark and dated primary bathroom in a classic Tudor home. We fine-tuned the layout, removing unnecessary build-outs and opening up the space to light pouring in from the existing skylight. Additional light and fresh air are introduced through a newly installed automated window. We maintained the existing vanity location but upgraded from a single basin to a double basin, increasing functionality and maximizing storage. The existing drop-in tub and surround were replaced with a classic cast iron freestanding tub. The shower was reconfigured and enclosed with a custom sliding glass door, creating a more open experience. The material palette was desaturated through the selection of classic marble floor tile paired with white subway tile, brightening the space and giving it a refined feel. Upgrades were made to all plumbing, electrical, and ventilation systems, including the addition of an electric radiant floor heating system.
